Ingredients
- - Toned Milk
- 6 pcs White Eggs
- 28 ml Vanilla Essence
- 200 g Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 500 g Sugar
- 200 g Table Salt
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- 2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt 200g of sugar until it turns golden brown, stirring constantly. Once melted, pour the caramel into the bottom of a baking dish and set aside.
- 3. In a large bowl, whisk together 400ml of Amul condensed milk, 400ml of Amul homogenised toned milk, 4 eggs, 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence, and a pinch of salt until smooth and well combined.
- 4. Pour the milk and egg mixture over the set caramel in the baking dish.
- 5. Place the baking dish into a larger roasting pan, and fill the pan with hot water until it reaches halfway up the sides of the baking dish.
- 6. Carefully place the roasting pan in the oven and bake for about 50-60 minutes, or until the flan is set and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
- 7. Remove the flan from the oven and let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until thoroughly chilled.
- 8. To serve, run a knife around the edges of the flan to loosen it, then invert onto a serving platter to release the caramel topping. Slice and enjoy!
