Ingredients

  • 250 g French Beans - 250 G
  • 100 g The Select Aisle Baking Soda
  • 1 Combo Fortune Rice Bran 1L & Mustard Oil 1L Pet
  • 100 g X 3 Mtr Turmeric Powder | Arisina Pudi Combo
  • 100 g Jk Jeera Powder / Cumin Powder
  • 1 pack (1 kg) Annapurna Iodized Crystal Salt | Kal Uppu
  • 100 g Tata Sampann Whole Spices Cumin Seed

Instructions

  1. 1. Wash and trim 250 g of green beans, then pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of chickpea flour, 1/2 tsp of baking soda, 1/2 tsp of cumin, 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp of cumin powder, and a pinch of salt.
  3. 3. Gradually add 3/4 cup of buttermilk to the dry mixture, whisking until a smooth, thick batter forms.
  4. 4. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add enough oil to shallow fry.
  5. 5. Dip each green bean into the batter, ensuring it is fully coated, and carefully place it into the hot oil.
  6. 6. Fry the green beans in batches, turning occasionally, until they are golden brown and crispy on all sides, about 3-4 minutes per batch.
  7. 7. Remove the fried green beans from the pan and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
  8. 8. Sprinkle the fritters with 1/4 cup of grated cheese while still hot, allowing it to melt slightly.
  9. 9. Serve the crispy green bean fritters warm as a main dish or alongside a fresh salad.
