Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- 2. In a large skillet, cook 1 chopped onion over medium heat until softened. Stir in 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of pepper.
- 3. Grease a 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish. Layer half of the 8 sliced potatoes at the bottom of the dish, followed by the onion mixture, and the remaining potato slices.

Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly, and cook for 2 minutes or until thickened. Add 4 slices of cheddar cheese and stir until melted.
- 5. Pour the cheese sauce evenly over the layered potatoes and onion mixture in the baking dish. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 1-1/2 hours or until the potatoes are tender.
- 6. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes to lightly brown the top. Let the dish rest for 5 minutes before serving.
