  • 500 g Ooty Potato (Aloo Gadde)
  • 200 g Old Hill Red Cheddar Cheese Block
  • 290ml Lea And Perrins Worcestershire Sauce
  • 100 g Catch Sprinklers - Iodized Table Salt
  • 1 pc (50 g) On1Y Pepper Grinder
  • 125 g Mooz Butter Garlic & Herbes
  • 1 Kg Red Lotus Special Flour
  • 500 ml Amul Slim 'N' Trim Double Toned Milk

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. 2. In a large skillet, cook 1 chopped onion over medium heat until softened. Stir in 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of pepper.
  3. 3. Grease a 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish. Layer half of the 8 sliced potatoes at the bottom of the dish, followed by the onion mixture, and the remaining potato slices.
  4. 4. In a large saucepan, melt 1/4 cup of butter over medium heat. Stir in 1/3 cup of flour, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of pepper until smooth. Gradually whisk in 2 cups of milk. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly, and cook for 2 minutes or until thickened. Add 4 slices of cheddar cheese and stir until melted.
  5. 5. Pour the cheese sauce evenly over the layered potatoes and onion mixture in the baking dish. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 1-1/2 hours or until the potatoes are tender.
  6. 6. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes to lightly brown the top. Let the dish rest for 5 minutes before serving.
