Ingredients
- 100 g Garlic
- loose Ginger
- 250 g Carrot
- 1 pc (approx. 500 g to 800 g) Cabbage
- - Red Chilli
- 80 g Soya Sauce
- 500 g Wheat Flour / Maida
- 180 g Red Chilli Sauce
- 10G Salt
- 190 ml White Cooking Vinegar
- 50 g Black Pepper
- 500 ml Water
Instructions
- 1. Finely chop the cabbage (1 whole piece) and carrot (250g) and set aside.
- 2. Mince the garlic (100g) and ginger, and add to a heated pan with 2 tablespoons of cooking oil.
- 3. Sauté the garlic and ginger until fragrant, then add the chopped cabbage and carrot.
- 4. Stir-fry the vegetables on high heat for 5 minutes or until they start to soften.
- 5. Add 1 tablespoon of black pepper powder, 2 tablespoons of red chilli sauce, and 1 tablespoon of soya sauce, and mix well.
- 6. Add the sprouted mung beans to the pan and stir for another 3 minutes.
- 7. Add salt to taste.
- 8. In a bowl, combine 500g of refined flour with water to form a smooth dough.
- 9. Roll out small portions of the dough into thin circles and cut each circle in half to form semi-circles.
- 10. Shape each semi-circle into a cone, fill with the vegetable mixture, and seal the edges with water.
- 11. Heat more cooking oil in a pan for deep frying.
- 12. Fry the samosas until they are golden and crispy.
- 13. Drain excess oil on a paper towel and allow to cool slightly.
- 14. Serve your Chinese Samosas hot with your choice of dipping sauce.
