Ingredients
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 500 g Onion
- - Besan
- 1 pc (approx. 500 g to 800 g) Cabbage
- 500 G Potato (500 Gm)
- 250 g Carrot
- 50G Green Chilies
- 200 g Table Salt
- 100 g Jeera
- - Garlic Paste
- 300 g Ginger Paste
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli Powder
- 500 Ml Champion Oil
Instructions
- 1. Gather all ingredients: 1 cup gram flour (besan), 1 medium potato (finely chopped), 1 small onion (finely chopped), 1 green chili (finely chopped), 1/4 cup cabbage (finely chopped), 1/4 cup carrots (finely chopped), 1/4 cup bell peppers (finely chopped), 1/2 tsp ginger paste, 1/2 tsp garlic paste, 1/2 tsp red chili powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp cumin seeds, 1/2 tsp garam masala, 2 tbsp coriander leaves (finely chopped), salt to taste, water as needed, and oil for frying.
- 2. In a large mixing bowl, add gram flour, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.
- 3. Add the chopped potatoes, onions, green chili, cabbage, carrots, bell peppers, ginger paste, garlic paste, and coriander leaves to the bowl. Mix thoroughly to combine all ingredients.
- 4. Gradually add water, a little at a time, while mixing to form a thick batter. Ensure the batter is not too runny; it should coat the vegetables well.
- 5. Heat oil in a deep frying pan or kadhai over medium heat. To check if the oil is ready, drop a small amount of batter into the oil. If it sizzles and rises to the surface, the oil is hot enough.
- 6. Take small portions of the batter using a spoon or your hands and gently drop them into the hot oil. Do not overcrowd the pan.
- 7. Fry the pakoras on medium heat, turning occasionally, until they turn golden brown and crispy on all sides. This should take about 4-5 minutes per batch.
- 8. Once fried, remove the pakoras using a slotted spoon and drain excess oil by placing them on a plate lined with paper towels.
- 9. Repeat the frying process with the remaining batter, ensuring the oil is at the right temperature before adding more pakoras.
- 10. Serve the Chinese Pakoras hot with mint chutney, tamarind chutney, or ketchup as a dipping sauce. Enjoy as a snack or appetizer!
