Ingredients
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 250 G Kabuli Chana
- 250 g Spinach
- - Besan
- 50G Green Chilies
- 100 g Hing Khoda
- 50g Everest Garam Masala
- 100 g Jeera
- 100 g Salt
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
Instructions
- 1. If using dried chickpeas, pressure cook the soaked chickpeas until soft, then drain and cool. If using canned chickpeas, rinse and drain thoroughly.
- 2. In a mixing bowl, mash the chickpeas using a fork or masher until they form a coarse paste. Avoid making it completely smooth for better texture.
- 3. Add the chopped spinach, besan, green chilies, cumin seeds, hing, garam masala, turmeric powder, and salt to the mashed chickpeas. Mix well to form a dough-like mixture.
- 4. Add lemon juice and coriander leaves, mixing thoroughly. The mixture should hold its shape when pressed. If it feels too wet, add a little more besan.
- 5. Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into round, flat patties.
- 6. Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (356°F) for 5 minutes. Place the patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not overlap.
- 7. Air fry the patties at 180°C (356°F) for 10-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until golden brown and crisp on the outside.
- 8. Remove the patties from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with chutney or yogurt on the side, if desired.
