Ingredients

  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • 250 G Kabuli Chana
  • 250 g Spinach
  • - Besan
  • 50G Green Chilies
  • 100 g Hing Khoda
  • 50g Everest Garam Masala
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 100 g Salt
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. If using dried chickpeas, pressure cook the soaked chickpeas until soft, then drain and cool. If using canned chickpeas, rinse and drain thoroughly.
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, mash the chickpeas using a fork or masher until they form a coarse paste. Avoid making it completely smooth for better texture.
  3. 3. Add the chopped spinach, besan, green chilies, cumin seeds, hing, garam masala, turmeric powder, and salt to the mashed chickpeas. Mix well to form a dough-like mixture.
  4. 4. Add lemon juice and coriander leaves, mixing thoroughly. The mixture should hold its shape when pressed. If it feels too wet, add a little more besan.
  5. 5. Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into round, flat patties.
  6. 6. Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (356°F) for 5 minutes. Place the patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not overlap.
  7. 7. Air fry the patties at 180°C (356°F) for 10-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until golden brown and crisp on the outside.
  8. 8. Remove the patties from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with chutney or yogurt on the side, if desired.
