A creamy and flavorful cheddar fondue infused with aromatic cumin and a hint of green chili, perfect for a Jain-friendly dinner. Serve with flatbread or croutons for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 100 g Mother Dairy Salted Butter
- 500 ml Mother Dairy Cow Milk
- 100 g Premium Green Chilli
- 400 Ml Kara Coconut Cream
- 1 ltr Oreal Canola Oil (From The House Of Pansari)
- 1 pack (100 g) On1Y Whole Cumin Seeds, Sabut Jeera Spices
- 1 Combo True Elements Jowar Flour,True Elements Bajra Flour,True Elements Quinoa Flour
- 100 g Catch Sprinklers - Iodized Table Salt
- 1 pack (100 g) Tata Sampann Pure Black Pepper Powder
Instructions
- 1. In a heavy saucepan, heat 1 tablespoon of canola oil over medium heat and add 1 1/2 teaspoons of cumin seeds. Stir until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- 2. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and allow it to melt completely. Stir in 2 tablespoons of flour and cook, whisking constantly, for 2 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.
- 3. Gradually pour in 1/2 cup of milk and 1/2 cup of coconut cream, whisking continuously to create a smooth mixture. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil.
- 4. Reduce the heat to low and whisk in an additional 1/2 cup of coconut cream until fully incorporated.
- 5. Finely chop 1 green chili and add it to the fondue, stirring well. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of cumin for added flavor and season with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of pepper.
- 6. Serve the fondue warm with flatbread or croutons for dipping.
