Ingredients

  • 500 G Brown Rice
  • - Edamame
  • 1 pc (approx. 500 g to 800 g) Cabbage
  • 200 ml Sesame Oil
  • medium Chilli Green Long
  • 80 g Soya Sauce
  • 250 ml Lemon Juice Concentrate
  • 100 g Til
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 100 g Salt
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • 50 g Asafoetida Powder
  • 500 g Capsicum Green
  • 250 g French Beans

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse the brown rice thoroughly and cook it in a pot or rice cooker until tender. Once cooked, fluff with a fork and set aside.
  2. 2. Heat sesame oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and asafoetida, and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
  3. 3. Add the green chili and chopped green beans to the pan. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the beans begin to soften.
  4. 4. Add the bell pepper and shredded cabbage to the pan. Sprinkle turmeric powder and salt, and stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crunchy.
  5. 5. Add the cooked edamame to the pan along with soy sauce. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes to combine the flavors.
  6. 6. Add the cooked brown rice to the pan and gently toss everything together until the rice is evenly coated with the spices and soy sauce.
  7. 7. Turn off the heat and squeeze lemon juice over the stir-bowl. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and fresh coriander leaves.
