Instructions

  1. 1. Heat 1/2 cup of ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan on low flame.
  2. 2. Add 1 cup of besan (gram flour) to the pan. Stir continuously to roast the besan evenly.
  3. 3. Roast the besan for 15-20 minutes until it turns golden brown and releases a nutty aroma. Ensure it does not burn.
  4. 4. Turn off the heat and let the roasted besan cool slightly for 5 minutes.
  5. 5. Add 1/2 cup of powdered sugar to the roasted besan. Mix well until fully combined.
  6. 6. Add 1/4 tsp of cardamom powder and 1 tbsp of chopped nuts (cashews, almonds, or pistachios) to the mixture. Mix thoroughly.
  7. 7. Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into round laddus using your palms. Apply gentle pressure to ensure they hold their shape.
  8. 8. Let the laddus cool completely before storing them in an airtight container.
