- 200Ml Kara Coconut Milk Classic (200ml)
- 250 g Spinach
- - Green Peas
- 100 g Hing Khoda
- 200 ml Ghee
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 500 g Capsicum Green
- 20 g Cardamom Powder
- 50 g Cumin Powder
- 500 g Jaggery Powder
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the pearl barley thoroughly and soak it in warm water for 30 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- 2. Heat ghee in a deep pan over medium heat. Add hing, turmeric powder, and cumin powder, stirring for 30 seconds until aromatic.
- 3. Add the soaked barley to the pan and stir well to coat it with the spices. Pour in enough water to cover the barley and let it simmer for 20-25 minutes until tender.
- 4. Once the barley is cooked, add the chopped spinach, bell pepper, and green peas to the pan. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender but still vibrant.
- 5. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the coconut milk, grated jaggery, and cardamom powder. Let the mixture simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- 6. Garnish the dish with chopped coriander leaves and serve warm in individual bowls, perfect for sharing with family.
