About this recipe

A hearty and flavorful dinner featuring tender pork chops baked with a tangy mustard glaze, layered over seasoned potatoes and onions. Perfect for a satisfying evening meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg Potato - New Crop (Aloo)
  • 100 g Sambar Onion Peeled
  • 250 ml Real Cheers Ginger Ale Cocktail Mix
  • 1 kg Tata Salt (Vacuum Evaporated Iodised)
  • 1 pack (100 g) Tata Sampann Pure Black Pepper Powder
  • 180 g Devavo Dijon Mustard Sauce (Classic French)

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. 2. Peel and thinly slice 7 medium potatoes and 2 onions. Layer them evenly in a baking dish and sprinkle with 1 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp black pepper.
  3. 3. Spread 2 tbsp Dijon mustard evenly over the potato and onion layers.
  4. 4. Ensure the mustard-coated potato and onion layers are evenly distributed in the baking dish.
  5. 5. Pour 1 cup of ginger ale into the baking dish, ensuring it surrounds the potatoes and onions.
  6. 6. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour, or until the potatoes are tender.
  7. 7. Remove the foil during the last 10 minutes of baking to allow the top layer to brown slightly.
  8. 8. Serve hot, optionally paired with a fresh garden salad for a complete meal.
