  • 1 Kg Samrat Atta- 1kg
  • 100 Ml Govind Ghee
  • - Green Cardamom Powder
  • 500 g Sugar

Instructions

  1. 1. Heat 1/4 cup of ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan on medium heat.
  2. 2. Add 1/2 cup of whole wheat flour (atta) to the pan and begin roasting it. Stir continuously to ensure the flour doesn't burn. Roast for about 8-10 minutes until the flour turns golden brown and releases a nutty aroma.
  3. 3. In a separate saucepan, bring 1 1/2 cups of water to a boil. Add 1/2 cup of sugar to the boiling water and stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
  4. 4. Slowly pour the sugar-water mixture into the roasted flour, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Be cautious as the mixture may splatter.
  5. 5. Continue stirring the mixture on low heat until it thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan, forming a smooth halwa.
  6. 6. Add 1/4 tsp of cardamom powder and mix well. Cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  7. 7. Garnish with 2 tbsp of chopped almonds and cashews. Serve warm.
