A hearty and flavorful casserole combining ground beef, wild rice, and Asian-inspired seasonings, perfect for a satisfying dinner.
Ingredients
- 500 ml Oleev Extra Light Olive Oil
- 100 g Sambar Onion Peeled
- 1 Pack Button Mushroom (Anabe)
- 1 kg Whole Farm Premium Brown Rice
- 250 ml Coco Mama Coconut Milk
- 900 G Kikkoman Naturally Brewed Dark Soy Sauce
Instructions
- 1. Cook 1 cup of long grain wild rice according to the package instructions and set aside.
- 2. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add 1 finely chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- 3. Add 1 cup of sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- 4. Stir in 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, the cooked rice, and 1/4 cup of coconut milk. Mix well to combine.
- 5. Add 1/4 cup of coconut milk to the mixture for creaminess. Stir thoroughly until evenly combined.
- 6. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9 x 13-inch casserole dish. Spread it out evenly.
- 7. Optionally, top with 1/2 cup of slivered almonds for added crunch.
- 8. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 1 hour, until the top is golden and the casserole is heated through.
- 9. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy your Asian-inspired casserole!
