- 900 G Kikkoman Naturally Brewed Dark Soy Sauce
- 500Ml Habit Toasted Sesame Oil Cold Presses
- 20 Ltr Rice Vinegar Mizkan Suehiro Su
Instructions
- 1. Heat a dry skillet over medium heat and roast 1/4 cup sesame seeds until lightly browned, stirring or shaking the pan to prevent burning. Remove from heat and set aside.
- 2. In a bowl, mix 1/4 cup oil, 1/4 cup honey, 2 teaspoons orange rind, 1/4 cup lemon juice, 1/2 cup orange juice, 4 teaspoons soy sauce, and 4 teaspoons wine vinegar. Add the roasted sesame seeds and stir well to combine.
- 3. Place 2 1/2 kg chicken pieces in a large bowl or zip-top bag and pour the marinade over them. Ensure the chicken is fully coated, then cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to marinate.
- 4. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Arrange the marinated chicken pieces in the bottom of a broiler pan, ensuring they are evenly spaced.
- 5. Pour the remaining marinade over the chicken. Place the pan under the broiler and brown both sides of the chicken for about 5-7 minutes per side.
- 6. Transfer the pan to the oven and bake the chicken at 350°F (175°C) for approximately 1 hour, or until the chicken is fully cooked and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- 7. Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with additional sesame seeds if desired.
