- 150G Blue Earth Foods Coldwater Prawns
- 454G Tamarind Paste - Tamarind Concentrate, 454G
- 500G Tropical Sun Basmati Rice 500g
- - Ktc Vegetable Oil
- 250 G Onion Shallots 300g
- 50G Black Garlic Cloves, 50G
- - Greenfields Ground Coriander
- 100 G Trs Ground Cumin Jeera Powder
- 50G Mill & Mortar Organic Ground Turmeric, 50G
- 100G Trs Chilli Powder 100G
- 750 G Top-Op Table Salt Drums
- 1 Bunch Coriander - Bunch
Instructions
- 1. Wash the basmati rice thoroughly and soak in water for 20 minutes.
- 2. Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onion until golden brown.
- 3. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- 4. Stir in the coriander, cumin, turmeric, and red chili powder, cooking for 30 seconds.
- 5. Add the tamarind paste and 50 ml of water, mixing well to form a smooth sauce.
- 6. Add the prawns to the sauce and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they turn pink and are fully cooked.
- 7. In a separate pot, boil the soaked rice with 250 ml water and 1 tsp salt until cooked and fluffy.
- 8. Fluff the rice with a fork and transfer to a serving platter.
- 9. Place the cooked prawns over the rice and garnish with chopped fresh coriander.
- 10. Serve immediately for a flavorful and satisfying lunch.
