  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • - Red Chilli Powder
  • 50 g Everest Cumin Powder
  • 1 pack (1 kg) Aashirvaad Crystal Salt | Iodised
  • 1 Bunch Coriander Leaves ( Kottambari Soppu )
  • 1 Bunch Mint Leaves (Pudina)
  • 500 ml Oil (For Frying)
  • 100 g Garlic - Single Clove
  • - DELI QUINOA/BASMATI RICE 1KG
  • 1 pack (200 g) Godrej Real Good Medium Prawns Peeled & Deveined (Freshly Frozen)
  • 100 g Lemon

Instructions

  1. 1. Wash the prawns thoroughly and pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
  2. 2. In a bowl, mix lemon juice, turmeric, red chili powder, cumin, and half the salt to create a marinade.
  3. 3. Coat the prawns evenly with the marinade and let them rest for 15 minutes.
  4. 4. Finely chop garlic, coriander leaves, and mint leaves and set them aside.
  5. 5. Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a pan and sauté the garlic until fragrant, around 1 minute.
  6. 6. Add the rice to the pan and sauté for 2 minutes, ensuring the grains are well coated with oil and garlic.
  7. 7. Pour water into the pan, add half the remaining salt, and bring it to a boil.
  8. 8. Lower the heat, cover the pan, and let the rice cook for 12 minutes or until all the water is absorbed.
  9. 9. In a separate pan, heat the remaining oil and add the marinated prawns.
  10. 10. Cook the prawns on medium heat for 5-7 minutes, flipping occasionally until they turn pink and are fully cooked.
  11. 11. Sprinkle chopped coriander and mint leaves over the prawns, stirring gently to combine the flavors.
  12. 12. Fluff the cooked garlic rice with a fork and transfer it to serving plates.
  13. 13. Place the cooked prawns on top of the garlic rice, arranging them neatly for presentation.
