  • 50g Everest Garam Masala
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • - Red Chilli Powder
  • 500 Ml Champion Oil

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse the prawns under cold water and pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
  2. 2. In a bowl, mix lemon juice, minced garlic, ginger powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, black pepper, and 1/2 teaspoon salt to prepare the marinade.
  3. 3. Add the prawns to the marinade and ensure they are evenly coated. Let them marinate for 15 minutes.
  4. 4. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then soak it in water for 10 minutes.
  5. 5. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a pan, add cloves, cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, and bay leaf. Sauté until aromatic.
  6. 6. Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pan with the spices. Stir gently to coat the rice with the oil and spices.
  7. 7. Add 300 ml of water and 1/2 teaspoon of salt to the pan. Cover and cook on low heat until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed, about 15 minutes.
  8. 8. While the rice cooks, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a grill pan or air fryer.
  9. 9. Place the marinated prawns in the grill pan or air fryer and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until they are pink and slightly charred.
  10. 10. Once the rice is cooked, fluff it gently with a fork and remove the whole spices if desired.
  11. 11. Serve the grilled prawns on a bed of the fragrant rice pilaf, garnished with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
