- - DELI QUINOA/BASMATI RICE 1KG
- 250 g Tendercuts Basa Boneless Fillet F&S
- 100 g Lemon
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 50 g Everest Cumin Powder
- - Red Chilli Powder
- 1 pack (1 kg) Aashirvaad Crystal Salt | Iodised
- 500 ml Oil (For Frying)
- 110 g Unpeeled Garlic Cloves
- 1 Bunch Coriander Leaves ( Kottambari Soppu )
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the fish fillets under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- 2. In a small bowl, mix lemon juice, turmeric powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, and 1 tsp salt to make a marinade.
- 3. Rub the marinade evenly over the fish fillets and let them sit for 15 minutes.
- 4. Wash the rice thoroughly until the water runs clear, then soak it for 10 minutes.
- 5. In a deep pan, heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- 6. Add the soaked rice and stir gently for 1-2 minutes to coat it with the garlic flavor.
- 7. Pour 300 ml of water into the pan, add 0.5 tsp salt, and bring it to a boil.
- 8. Reduce the heat to a simmer, cover the pan, and cook the rice until tender, about 12-15 minutes.
- 9. Heat a grill pan or regular pan over medium heat and lightly grease it with 1 tbsp of vegetable oil.
- 10. Grill the marinated fish fillets for 4-5 minutes on each side until fully cooked and slightly charred.
- 11. Once the rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork and mix in chopped coriander leaves and a dash of lemon juice.
- 12. Plate the rice and place the grilled fish fillets on top for a beautiful presentation.
- 13. Garnish with extra coriander leaves and a wedge of lemon if desired.
