- loose Ginger
- 1 kg Potato
- 100 g Almonds
- 100 Ml Gowardhan Ghee
- 200 g Table Salt
- 50g Everest Garam Masala
- - Coriander Powder
- 100 g Jeera
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli Powder
Instructions
- 1. Gather all the ingredients: 1 cup soaked and peeled almonds, 1 cup soaked and sprouted moong beans, 1 medium-sized peeled and finely chopped potato, 1 finely chopped green chili, 1 teaspoon grated ginger, 1 teaspoon cumin seeds, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder, 1 teaspoon coriander powder, 1/2 teaspoon garam masala, 1 tablespoon ghee, salt to taste, and freshly chopped coriander leaves for garnish.
- 2. Heat a pan on medium flame and add 1 tablespoon ghee. Allow the ghee to melt completely.
- 3. Once the ghee is hot, add 1 teaspoon cumin seeds and let them splutter for a few seconds.
- 4. Add 1 teaspoon grated ginger and 1 finely chopped green chili to the pan. Sauté for about 30 seconds until the raw aroma disappears.
- 5. Add the finely chopped potato to the pan. Stir well and cook for 3-4 minutes until the potato starts to soften.
- 6. Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder, 1 teaspoon coriander powder, and salt to taste. Mix well to coat the potatoes with the spices.
- 7. Add the soaked and sprouted moong beans to the pan. Stir to combine all the ingredients.
- 8. Pour in 1/2 cup of water and mix well. Cover the pan with a lid and let the mixture cook on low flame for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 9. After 10 minutes, add the soaked and peeled almonds to the pan. Mix well to incorporate them into the dish.
- 10. Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon garam masala over the mixture and stir gently. Cook uncovered for another 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
- 11. Turn off the flame and garnish the dish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
- 12. Serve hot with roti or steamed rice for a complete meal.
