Ingredients

  • 500 g Onion
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • - Coriander Powder
  • 500 g Whole Farm Premium Kangni/Foxtail Millet
  • 200 g Orange Carrot (Gajar)
  • 250 g French Beans
  • - Green Peas
  • 500 g Desi Tomato (Tamatar)
  • 50 g Pluckk Organic Curry Leaves
  • 100 g Orika Big Mustard Seeds
  • 100 g Popular Essentials Jeera (Cumin Seeds)
  • loose Ginger
  • medium Chilli Green Long
  • 200 G Rock Salt Powder - Sprinkler 200 G
  • 500 ml Oil (For Frying)

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse the foxtail millet under running water and soak it for 10 minutes.
  2. 2. Chop the carrots, green beans, onion, tomato, and ginger into small pieces.
  3. 3. Heat vegetable oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds; let them crackle.
  4. 4. Add chopped onions, ginger, curry leaves, and green chili to the pan and sauté until fragrant.
  5. 5. Stir in the carrots, green beans, green peas, and tomato, cooking for 3-4 minutes.
  6. 6. Sprinkle turmeric powder and rock salt over the vegetables and mix well.
  7. 7. Drain the millet and add it to the pan, stirring to coat it with the spices and vegetables.
  8. 8. Pour water into the pan and bring it to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover the pan.
  9. 9. Cook the millet for 15 minutes or until the water is absorbed and the millet is tender.
  10. 10. Garnish the upma with freshly chopped coriander before serving.
