  • 500 g Sugar

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse the rice thoroughly under running water and cook it in a pot with double its volume in water until tender.
  2. 2. Cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes and pat dry with a clean towel to remove excess moisture.
  3. 3. Heat vegetable oil in a pan, add the tofu cubes, and fry them until they are golden on all sides.
  4. 4. Peel and julienne the carrot, and finely shred the cabbage for the stir-fry.
  5. 5. In the same pan, sauté garlic until fragrant, then add carrot and cabbage and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  6. 6. Mix soy sauce, sugar, and cornstarch in a bowl with a small amount of water to make the teriyaki sauce.
  7. 7. Pour the sauce into the pan with vegetables and tofu, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens and coats the ingredients evenly.
  8. 8. Serve the cooked rice in bowls and top it with the tofu and vegetable mixture.
