- - Fresh Tofu
- 200 g Spinach (Palak)
- 1 kg Rice
- 500 g Onion
- 500 g Desi Tomato (Tamatar)
- - Garlic Powder
- - Ginger Powder
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 100 g Popular Essentials Jeera (Cumin Seeds)
- 1 pack (1 kg) Aashirvaad Crystal Salt | Iodised
- 500 ml Oil (For Frying)
Instructions
- 1. Wash and chop the spinach into small pieces, ensuring all dirt is removed.
- 2. Dice the tofu into bite-sized cubes and keep aside for later use.
- 3. Heat vegetable oil in a pan and add cumin seeds; let them sizzle for a few seconds.
- 4. Add finely chopped onion and sauté until golden brown, stirring occasionally.
- 5. Incorporate the chopped tomato and cook till it softens, forming a smooth base.
- 6. Sprinkle garlic powder, ginger powder, turmeric, and salt; stir well to combine the flavors.
- 7. Add the chopped spinach and cook for 3-4 minutes until it wilts and releases its moisture.
- 8. Toss in the tofu cubes and gently mix, ensuring they are evenly coated with the spices.
- 9. Meanwhile, rinse the rice thoroughly and cook it in a separate pot with 300ml water.
- 10. Once the rice is cooked, fluff it gently and transfer it to the serving bowls.
