Ingredients

  • - Fresh Tofu
  • 1 bunch Thai Basil
  • 250 g Jasmine Rice
  • 1 ltr Pansari Tilsari Edible Vegetable Oil

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse the jasmine rice thoroughly and cook it in a pot with 300 ml of water until soft and fluffy.
  2. 2. Press the tofu to remove excess water, then cut it into bite-sized cubes and toss them with cornstarch.
  3. 3. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a pan and pan-fry the tofu cubes until golden and crispy on all sides. Set aside.
  4. 4. Finely chop the garlic cloves and onion, and thinly slice the red bell pepper and carrot for the stir-fry.
  5. 5. Heat the remaining vegetable oil in the pan, then sauté the garlic and onion until fragrant and lightly golden.
  6. 6. Add the sliced red bell pepper and carrot to the pan, stir-frying for 3–4 minutes until they begin to soften.
  7. 7. Add the soy sauce, oyster mushroom sauce, chili flakes, and water to the vegetables, stirring to combine.
  8. 8. Toss the crispy tofu back into the pan and mix well, ensuring the sauce coats the tofu and vegetables evenly.
  9. 9. Turn off the heat and gently fold in the fresh basil leaves, allowing them to wilt from the residual heat.
  10. 10. Serve the stir-fry over a bed of freshly cooked jasmine rice while hot.
