Ingredients
- 200 g Itc Master Chef Medium Prawns Peeled & Deveined (Frozen)
- 250 ml Real Thai Unsweetened Coconut Milk
- 1 kg Rice
- 500 g Onion
- 500 g Desi Tomato (Tamatar)
- 100 g Garlic - Single Clove
- loose Ginger
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli Powder
- - Coriander Powder
- 50 g Pluckk Organic Curry Leaves
- 850 g Sundrop Heart+ Blended Cooking Oil
- 1 pack (1 kg) Aashirvaad Crystal Salt | Iodised
- 1 Bunch Coriander Leaves ( Kottambari Soppu )
Instructions
- 1. Wash the rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 10 minutes before cooking.
- 2. Heat a pan with 1 tablespoon of oil and sauté the chopped onions until golden brown.
- 3. Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and curry leaves to the pan, cooking for about a minute until aromatic.
- 4. Stir in the pureed tomato, turmeric, red chili powder, and coriander powder, cooking until the oil separates.
- 5. Pour in the coconut milk and water, then bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
- 6. Add the cleaned prawns to the gravy, cooking for 6-8 minutes until they turn pink and are fully cooked.
- 7. In a separate pot, cook the rice with a pinch of salt and water until fluffy.
- 8. Plate the cooked rice and ladle the prawn coconut gravy generously over the top.
