Ingredients
- 1 kg Basmati Rice
- 250 g Tendercuts Basa Boneless Fillet F&S
- 100 g Lemon
- 100 g Milky Mist Greek Yogurt Cup
- 100 g Catch Ginger Paste
- 100 g Catch Garlic Paste
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli Powder
- - Coriander Powder
- - Rock Salt
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 1 pack (50 g) Tmi Colman Tezpatta Bay Leaves
- - Cloves Lavang Powder-10 Gm
- 50 g Zoff Black Peppercorns
- 1 Bunch Mint Leaves (Pudina)
- 1 Bunch Coriander Leaves ( Kottambari Soppu )
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the fish fillets and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- 2. In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and rock salt.
- 3. Add the fish fillets to the marinade and coat well. Let it sit for 20 minutes.
- 4. Meanwhile, rinse the long grain rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- 5. In a pot, heat 1 tablespoon of oil and sauté bay leaves, cloves, and black pepper for 1 minute.
- 6. Add the rinsed rice and stir gently for 2 minutes to coat it with the spices.
- 7. Pour in water and bring the rice to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover, and cook for 15 minutes.
- 8. Heat the remaining oil in a skillet and place the marinated fish fillets. Cook each side for 4-5 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- 9. Remove the fish from the skillet and squeeze fresh lemon juice over it.
- 10. Fluff the cooked rice with a fork and stir in chopped mint and coriander leaves.
- 11. Serve the tangy fish tikka alongside the fragrant lemon rice.
