Ingredients

  • 100 g Sambar Onion Peeled
  • 250 g Organically Grown Green Capsicum
  • 35 g On1Y Grinder Italian Seasoning Flakes
  • 200 g Hommade Tomato Puree
  • 1 Combo The Baker'S Dozen Zero Maida Whole Wheat Loaf 400_Gm & The Baker'S Dozen Zero Maida Chapati 180_Gm

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. 2. Cut the whole wheat bread loaf in half lengthwise and carefully scoop out the inside, breaking it into bite-sized pieces. Set the bread pieces aside.
  3. 3. In a large saucepan, combine 1 lb of lean ground turkey, 1 chopped onion, and 1/2 cup diced green pepper. Cook over medium heat until the turkey is fully browned and the vegetables are softened, about 8-10 minutes.
  4. 4. Stir in 1 cup of tomato puree and 1 cup of shredded reduced-fat cheddar cheese. Mix well until the cheese is melted and the mixture is evenly combined.
  5. 5. Add the reserved bread pieces and 1 tsp of Italian seasoning to the saucepan. Stir gently to coat the bread pieces with the mixture.
  6. 6. Spoon the filling into the hollowed-out bread loaf halves. Place the stuffed loaf halves on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until the loaf is heated through and slightly crisp.
  7. 7. Remove from the oven, slice into portions, and serve warm.
