Ingredients
- - Bell Peppers
- 1 pc (approx. 500 g to 800 g) Cabbage
- 250 g Carrot
- 200 G Spring Onion(200Gm)
- 200 ml Sesame Oil
- 90 g Dark Soy Sauce
- 190 ml White Cooking Vinegar
- 500 g Wheat Flour / Maida
- 500 Ml Champion Oil
- 200 g Table Salt
Instructions
- 1. Prepare the filling: Finely chop 1 cup of cabbage, 1/2 cup of carrots, and 1/4 cup of bell peppers. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan and sauté the vegetables for 2-3 minutes until slightly tender. Add 1 tsp of soy sauce, 1/2 tsp of vinegar, and a pinch of salt. Mix well and set aside to cool.
- 2. Prepare the dough: In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of all-purpose flour, a pinch of salt, and 1/2 cup of water. Knead into a smooth dough. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- 3. Roll out the dough: Divide the dough into small balls (around 10-12). Roll each ball into a thin, round wrapper using a rolling pin. Ensure the edges are thinner than the center.
- 4. Fill and shape the dumplings: Place 1 tsp of the prepared filling in the center of each wrapper. Fold the wrapper in half and pinch the edges to seal. You can pleat the edges for a decorative touch.
- 5. Steam the dumplings: Arrange the dumplings in a steamer basket lined with parchment paper or cabbage leaves to prevent sticking. Steam for 8-10 minutes over medium heat until the dumplings are cooked and translucent.
- 6. Serve hot: Serve the steamed dumplings with a dipping sauce made from 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1/2 tsp vinegar, and a few drops of sesame oil.
