Ingredients

  • 1 kg Basmati Rice
  • 250 g Tendercuts Basa Boneless Fillet F&S
  • 100 g Tamarind Paste
  • 200 ml Mustard Oil
  • 100 g Orika Big Mustard Seeds
  • 50 g Pluckk Organic Curry Leaves
  • 250 g Organically Grown Sambhar Onion
  • 100 g Garlic - Single Clove
  • loose Ginger
  • 500 g Desi Tomato (Tamatar)
  • - Red Chilli Powder
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • - Coriander Powder
  • 1 pack (1 kg) Aashirvaad Crystal Salt | Iodised

Instructions

  1. 1. Wash the fish fillets thoroughly and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.
  2. 2. Soak tamarind pulp in warm water for 10 minutes, extract the juice, and discard the solids.
  3. 3. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds until they begin to splutter.
  4. 4. Add curry leaves, finely chopped onions, garlic, and ginger; sauté until golden and fragrant.
  5. 5. Stir in chopped tomatoes, red chili powder, turmeric, coriander powder, and salt; cook until the tomatoes are soft and blended.
  6. 6. Pour the tamarind juice into the pan and simmer the mixture for 5 minutes to develop the flavor.
