  • 1 pack (200 g) Godrej Real Good Medium Prawns Peeled & Deveined (Freshly Frozen)
  • 1 kg Rice
  • 200 ml Mustard Oil
  • - Onion-250 Gms
  • 110 g Unpeeled Garlic Cloves
  • loose Ginger
  • medium Chilli Green Long
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • 50 g Everest Cumin Powder
  • 1 pack (1 kg) Aashirvaad Crystal Salt | Iodised
  • - KATDARE BLACK PEPPER POWDER 12GM
  • 1 Bunch Coriander Leaves ( Kottambari Soppu )

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse the rice thoroughly under cold water until the water runs clear, then set it aside to drain.
  2. 2. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large pan over medium heat and sauté diced onions until golden brown.
  3. 3. Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and finely chopped green chili to the pan, stirring for 1 minute to release their aroma.
  4. 4. Stir in turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and black pepper, cooking for another minute to toast the spices.
  5. 5. Add the cleaned prawns to the pan and cook for 3 minutes, turning occasionally until they begin to turn pink.
  6. 6. Pour in 300 ml of water and bring it to a gentle boil, then stir in the rinsed rice and 1 teaspoon of salt.
  7. 7. Lower the heat, cover the pan, and simmer for 15 minutes until the rice is tender and absorbs the liquid.
  8. 8. Remove the lid, fluff the rice with a fork, and let the stir fry rest for 5 minutes to meld the flavors.
