Ingredients
- - DELI QUINOA/BASMATI RICE 1KG
- 1 kg Basmati Rice
- 250 g Tendercuts Basa Boneless Fillet F&S
- - Cumin Seed
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 1 pack (1 kg) Aashirvaad Crystal Salt | Iodised
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- - Onion-250 Gms
- 110 g Unpeeled Garlic Cloves
- loose Ginger
- 500 g Desi Tomato (Tamatar)
- - Red Chilli Powder
- - Coriander Powder
- 100 g Catch Super Garam Masala
- 1 Bunch Coriander Leaves ( Kottambari Soppu )
Instructions
- 1. Wash the fish fillets thoroughly and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- 2. Rub turmeric and salt on the fish and let it marinate for 10 minutes.
- 3. Heat mustard oil in a pan and lightly fry the fish fillets until golden brown on both sides.
- 4. Remove the fish from the pan and set it aside on a plate lined with paper towels.
- 5. In the same pan, add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
- 6. Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown and caramelized.
- 7. Stir in the minced garlic and ginger, cooking until fragrant.
- 8. Add the chopped tomatoes, red chili powder, coriander powder, and garam masala, then cook until the oil separates and a thick masala forms.
- 9. Gently place the fried fish into the masala and coat it evenly, simmering for 5 minutes.
- 10. In a separate pot, rinse the rice and cook it with water and salt until tender.
- 11. Heat a small amount of mustard oil and add cumin seeds to it, then pour this over the cooked rice for added flavor.
- 12. Garnish the fish masala with fresh coriander leaves and serve alongside the jeera rice.
