Ingredients

  • 500 g Pluckk Organic Hybrid Tomatoes
  • 250 g Organically Grown Green Capsicum
  • 100 g Sambar Onion Peeled
  • 500 g Weikfield Cornstarch Amazingly Versatile Gluten Free
  • 500 g Uttam Sugar White Sugar Cubes
  • 45 g Snapin Cinnamon Powder
  • 2 x 170 ml Masterchow White Vinegar - Pack Of 2
  • 1 pack (25 g) Snapin Nutmeg Powder
  • 1 kg Simply Staples Mineral Rich Sea Salt

Instructions

  1. 1. Chop 10 tomatoes, 1 green pepper, and 1 onion into small pieces.
  2. 2. In a large pot, combine the chopped tomatoes, green pepper, and onion. Bring to a boil over medium heat and cook until the vegetables are soft, about 20 minutes.
  3. 3. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or food mill to remove skins and seeds, returning the smooth mixture to the pot.
  4. 4. Add 2 cups of sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg powder, 3/4 teaspoon of cinnamon, and 1/3 cup of vinegar to the pot. Stir well to combine.
  5. 5. Simmer the mixture over low heat for 3 hours, stirring occasionally, until it thickens to your desired consistency.
  6. 6. If the sauce is not thick enough, dissolve 1 tablespoon of cornstarch in 2 tablespoons of water and stir it into the sauce. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. 7. Let the sauce cool slightly before transferring it to jars or containers. Store in the refrigerator and use as needed.
