Ingredients
- 1 kg Sweet Potato
- - Rice Flour
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 250g Green Chilli
- 100 g Jeera
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli
- 100 g Salt
Instructions
- 1. Peel and chop the sweet potato into small cubes and boil until soft, about 10 minutes.
- 2. Cook the red lentils in boiling water for 12-15 minutes until tender, then drain and set aside.
- 3. Mash the boiled sweet potato in a large mixing bowl until smooth and lump-free.
- 4. Add the cooked lentils, rice flour, cumin seeds, turmeric, red chili powder, and salt to the mashed sweet potato.
- 5. Finely chop the coriander leaves and green chili, then mix them into the sweet potato and lentil mixture.
- 6. Shape the mixture into small patties, approximately 2 inches in diameter.
- 7. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat until shimmering.
- 8. Place the patties into the pan and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- 9. Remove the patties from the pan and drain excess oil on paper towels.
- 10. Serve the patties warm, garnished with additional coriander leaves if desired.
