Spiced Mutton and Spinach Millet Bowl recipe

Ingredients

  • - Foxtail Millet Flour
  • - Baby Tomatoes
  • 50 g Cumin Powder
  • - Red Chilli
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • 200 ml Mustard Oil
  • - Coriander Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 1pc Watermelon

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse the millet thoroughly and soak it in water for 20 minutes.
  2. 2. Wash and chop the spinach, onions, and tomatoes into small pieces.
  3. 3. In a pressure cooker, heat oil and sauté onions until golden brown.
  4. 4. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
  5. 5. Stir in tomatoes, cumin powder, coriander powder, chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
  6. 6. Add the mutton chunks and mix well to coat with the spices. Cook for 5 minutes.
  7. 7. Pour 200 ml of water and pressure cook the mutton for 10-12 minutes until tender.
  8. 8. In a separate pot, boil the soaked millet with 200 ml of water and a pinch of salt until fluffy, about 10 minutes.
  9. 9. In the same pot, add spinach to the cooked millet and stir well to combine. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  10. 10. Transfer the millet-spinach mixture to serving bowls and top with the spiced mutton.
  11. 11. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve warm.
