Ingredients
- 500 g Chana Dal
- 100 g Oats Jumbo
- - Rice Flour
- 100 g Curry Leaves
- 100 g Hing Khoda
- 1 liter Sunflower Oil
- 50 g Black Pepper Powder
- medium Chilli Green Long
- 100 g Jeera
- 100 g Salt
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 1 kg Yellow Moong Dal
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the yellow moong dal and Bengal gram thoroughly, then soak them in water for 2-3 hours.
- 2. Drain the soaked lentils and combine them with rolled oats in a blender. Add a small amount of water and blend into a smooth batter.
- 3. Transfer the batter to a mixing bowl and stir in rice flour, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, black pepper powder, hing, and salt. Mix well.
- 4. Fold in the chopped green chili and curry leaves into the batter for added flavor.
- 5. Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it with cooking oil.
- 6. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it evenly into a thin pancake. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom turns golden brown.
- 7. Flip the pancake and cook the other side for 2-3 minutes until crisp and cooked through.
- 8. Repeat the process with the remaining batter, greasing the pan as needed.
- 9. Serve the adai hot with coconut chutney or a side of yogurt for a complete meal.
