Ingredients
- 1 kg Yellow Moong Dal
- 500 g Whole Farm Premium Kangni/Foxtail Millet
- - Coriander Powder
- 1 Bunch Mint Leaves
- 250g Green Chilli
- loose Ginger
- 110 g Unpeeled Garlic Cloves
- - Cumin Seeds / Jeera Seeds-250 Gms
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli
- - Rice Flour
- 100 g Salt
- 140 g Modern Kitchens Raita Boondi - 100 % Rice Bran Oil
- 100g Greek Yogurt
- 50 g Black Pepper Powder
Instructions
- 1. Wash and soak the split yellow moong dal and foxtail millet in water for 30 minutes.
- 2. Drain the water and grind the dal and millet into a thick paste along with ginger, garlic, and green chili.
- 3. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and add chopped coriander leaves, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, and rice flour.
- 4. Mix the ingredients well to form a cohesive dough. Adjust the consistency with a little water if needed.
- 5. Heat oil in a pan on medium heat for shallow frying.
- 6. Shape the mixture into small, flat patties about 2 inches in diameter.
- 7. Place the patties in the hot oil and cook until golden brown on one side, about 3-4 minutes.
- 8. Flip the patties carefully and cook the other side until crispy and golden, another 3-4 minutes.
- 9. Remove the patties from the pan and place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
- 10. For the dip, blend fresh mint leaves, yogurt, a pinch of salt, and black pepper powder until smooth and creamy.
- 11. Serve the hot patties with the tangy mint dip on the side for a delightful snack.
