Spiced Lamb Keema with Jeera Rice recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 kg Basmati Rice
  • 500 g Onion
  • - Tomato Ketchup
  • 100 g Garlic
  • loose Ginger
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • - Red Chilli
  • 45 g Garam Masala
  • 250g Green Chilli
  • - Coriander Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 100G Oleo
  • 1pc Watermelon

Instructions

  1. 1. Wash and soak basmati rice for 20 minutes in water.
  2. 2. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, letting them splutter.
  3. 3. Add finely chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
  4. 4. Mix in minced garlic, ginger, and green chilies; cook for 1 minute.
  5. 5. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft and blended.
  6. 6. Stir in turmeric, red chili, coriander powder, and garam masala.
  7. 7. Add minced lamb and cook until browned, breaking up lumps.
  8. 8. Pour in water, cover, and simmer until lamb is fully cooked.
  9. 9. In a separate pot, cook soaked rice with a pinch of salt until fluffy.
  10. 10. Plate the jeera rice alongside the lamb keema and garnish with coriander.
