Ingredients
- 25G Fisherman'S Friend Sugar Free Mouth Freshener - Lemon (25g)
- 250 ml Lemon Juice Concentrate
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli
- 45 g Garam Masala
- 1 kg Rice
- - Bay Leaf
- 50 g Cloves
- 100 g Jeera
- - Coriander Powder
- 100 g Salt
Instructions
- 1. Wash and pat dry the fish fillets, then cut them into bite-sized chunks.
- 2. In a bowl, mix hung curd, lemon juice, turmeric, chili powder, garam masala, and salt to create a marinade.
- 3. Coat the fish chunks evenly with the marinade and let them rest for 20 minutes.
- 4. Wash the rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 15 minutes.
- 5. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, bay leaf, and cloves, and let them sizzle for 30 seconds.
- 6. Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pan, stirring gently to coat in the spices.
- 7. Add water in a 2:1 ratio to rice and bring it to a boil, then simmer until rice is cooked and fluffy.
- 8. Preheat a grill or stovetop grill pan and lightly oil it to prevent sticking.
- 9. Place marinated fish chunks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until lightly charred and cooked through.
- 10. Serve the grilled fish tikka hot alongside the turmeric rice.
- 11. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves for extra flavor.
