Ingredients

  • 1 kg Basmati Rice
  • 250 g Tendercuts Basa Boneless Fillet F&S
  • 1 piece Coconut
  • 200 ml Mustard Oil
  • 100 g Popular Essentials Jeera (Cumin Seeds)
  • - Onion-250 Gms
  • 1 pack (100 g) Everest - Ginger Garlic Paste
  • medium Chilli Green Long
  • 500 g Desi Tomato (Tamatar)
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • - Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 pack (1 kg) Aashirvaad Crystal Salt | Iodised
  • 100 g Catch Super Garam Masala
  • 250 ml Real Thai Unsweetened Coconut Milk
  • 1 Bunch Coriander Leaves ( Kottambari Soppu )

Instructions

  1. 1. Wash the basmati rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 20 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  2. 2. Cut the fish fillets into medium-sized pieces and marinate them with turmeric, red chili powder, and salt. Set aside for 10 minutes.
  3. 3. Heat oil in a large pan and add cumin seeds, letting them splutter for a few seconds.
  4. 4. Add thinly sliced onions and sauté until golden brown, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.
  5. 5. Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and chopped green chilies, cooking for 2 minutes until fragrant.
  6. 6. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften and release their juices, forming a thick base.
  7. 7. Mix in the garam masala powder and a pinch of salt to enhance the flavor of the masala.
  8. 8. Gently place the marinated fish pieces into the pan and cook for 3 minutes on each side until lightly seared.
