Ingredients
- 200 g Tendercuts Chicken 65 Boneless
- 100 g Sambar Onion Peeled
- 100 g Garlic - Single Clove
- 1 pack (1 kg) 921 Everyday Long Grain Rice
- 1 Combo Fortune Rice Bran 870G & Mustard Oil 1L Pouch
- 50 g Minitz Garam Masala
- 1 kg Tata Salt (Vacuum Evaporated Iodised)
- 1 pack (100 g) Eastern Dry Ginger Powder
Instructions
- 1. In a pressure cooker, combine 500 g chicken, 1 3/4 onions (sliced), 4 cloves garlic (minced), 1 tsp grated ginger, 1 tsp garam masala, and 1 tsp salt. Add enough water to cover the chicken and cook on high pressure for 5 minutes.
- 2. Release the pressure and carefully remove the chicken. Strain the cooking liquid to remove spices and set the liquid aside.
- 3. In a large pot, heat 2 tbsp oil over medium heat and sauté 1/4 onion (finely chopped) until golden brown.
- 4. Add the reserved cooking liquid to the pot and bring it to a boil. Measure 2 cups of rice and add it to the pot, ensuring the liquid is double the volume of the rice.
- 5. Return the cooked chicken to the pot, stir gently, and boil the mixture for 5 minutes.
- 6. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for 15 minutes until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
- 7. Fluff the rice with a fork, serve hot, and enjoy your spiced chicken and rice dinner.
