Ingredients
- 200 g Roasted Chana Dal
- 250 g Spinach
- - Baby Tomatoes
- 100 g Garlic
- loose Ginger
- 250g Green Chilli
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 100 g Jeera
- - Coriander Powder
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 100 g Salt
- 1pc Watermelon
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the Bengal gram thoroughly and soak in water for 2 hours.
- 2. Drain the soaked gram and boil in a pressure cooker with 200 ml water and turmeric powder until soft.
- 3. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, and let them sizzle for 20 seconds.
- 4. Add finely chopped onions, garlic, and ginger to the pan, sauté until golden brown.
- 5. Stir in chopped tomatoes and green chilies, cooking until the tomatoes soften.
- 6. Add coriander powder and salt, mixing well to incorporate the spices.
- 7. Toss in the boiled Bengal gram, stirring to coat it evenly with the spice mixture.
- 8. Add freshly washed spinach leaves, cover, and cook until the spinach wilts and combines well.
- 9. Adjust the consistency by adding water if needed and simmer for 5 minutes.
- 10. Taste and adjust seasoning before serving hot.
