Ingredients
- 80 g Chheda'S Tiramisu Almonds Dessert Bites
- 100 g Sambar Onion Peeled
- 100 g Garlic - Single Clove
- 1000 g Japanese Choice Jasmine Ready To Cook Thai Rice
- 4.6 ltr Saffola Active Refined Cooking Oil Blend Of Rice Bran & Soyabean Oil
- 50 g Whole Farm Cardamom Powder
- 40 g On1Y Ginger Powder
- 100 g Zoff Red Chilli Powder
- 45 g On1Y Cinnamon Powder
- 100 g Jk Jeera Powder / Cumin Powder
- 1 pack (25 g) Snapin Nutmeg Powder
Instructions
- 1. In a medium saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil over medium heat. Add 3 tablespoons of almonds and cook, stirring frequently, until they are golden brown. Remove the almonds with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- 2. In the same saucepan, add 1 finely chopped onion and 1 minced clove of garlic. Cook and stir over medium heat until the onion is tender but not browned, about 3-4 minutes.
- 3. Stir in 1 cup of uncooked jasmine rice, 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom, 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger, 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper, 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin, and a pinch of ground nutmeg. Cook and stir for about 2 minutes, allowing the rice to lightly toast and absorb the spices.
- 4. Pour in 1 3/4 cups of water and bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan, and let it simmer for 15 minutes.
- 5. After 15 minutes, remove the saucepan from heat and let it stand, covered, for an additional 10 minutes to allow the rice to finish cooking and absorb any remaining liquid.
- 6. Fluff the rice with a fork and gently stir in the toasted almonds. Serve warm as a flavorful side dish or a light dinner option.
