Ingredients
- 300 g Nutrich Chicken Thigh Boneless
- - Dark Soy Sauce-90 GM
- 100 g Dabur Honey
- 100 g Garlic - Single Clove
- 1 kg Rice
- 1 ltr Anveshan Cold Pressed Black Sesame Oil
- 200 G Spring Onion(200Gm)
- loose Ginger
- 500 ml Oil (For Frying)
- 20 g Whole Farm Premium Star Anise
- 1 pack (1 kg) Aashirvaad Crystal Salt | Iodised
- 25 g Whole Black Pepper
- 100 g The Select Aisle Corn Flour (Starch)
- 1 Bunch Coriander Leaves ( Kottambari Soppu )
Instructions
- 1. Rinse and pat dry the chicken thighs, trimming any excess fat if needed.
- 2. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, water, and cornstarch until smooth.
- 3. Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat and sear the chicken thighs for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- 4. Reduce the heat, pour the soy-honey mixture over the chicken, and cook for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken.
- 5. Meanwhile, finely chop garlic, ginger, and spring onions. Set aside the green parts of the spring onions for garnish.
- 6. Heat sesame oil in another pan, and sauté garlic, ginger, and the white parts of the spring onions until fragrant.
- 7. Add the cooked rice to the pan and stir well to combine with the garlic-ginger mixture.
- 8. Toss in star anise, sprinkle with salt and black pepper, and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the rice is heated through.
- 9. Remove the star anise from the rice and transfer it to serving plates.
- 10. Arrange the glazed chicken thighs beside the garlic fried rice and drizzle any remaining sauce over the chicken.
- 11. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and the reserved green parts of the spring onions.
