Ingredients

  • 80 g Soya Chunks
  • 250 g Carrot
  • - Green Peas
  • 500 g Onion
  • - Tomato Ketchup
  • loose Ginger
  • 100 g Garlic
  • 250g Green Chilli
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • 100 g Jeera
  • - Bay Leaf
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • 45 g Garam Masala
  • 100 g Salt
  • 200 ml Mustard Oil
  • 1pc Watermelon

Instructions

  1. 1. Soak soya chunks in hot water for 10 minutes, then squeeze out excess water and set aside.
  2. 2. Wash the rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 15 minutes, then drain.
  3. 3. Heat oil in a pan and sauté cumin seeds and bay leaf until aromatic.
  4. 4. Add finely chopped onions, ginger, garlic, and green chilies, and cook until onions are golden brown.
  5. 5. Stir in chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and mushy.
  6. 6. Mix in turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt, and cook for another minute.
  7. 7. Add diced carrots, green peas, and soaked soya chunks, and cook for 5 minutes.
  8. 8. Add the soaked rice and mix gently to coat it with the spices.
  9. 9. Pour in water, cover the pan, and let the pulao cook on low heat until the rice is fully cooked and fluffy.
  10. 10. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
