Ingredients
- 80 g Soya Chunks
- 250 g Carrot
- - Green Peas
- 500 g Onion
- - Tomato Ketchup
- loose Ginger
- 100 g Garlic
- 250g Green Chilli
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 100 g Jeera
- - Bay Leaf
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 45 g Garam Masala
- 100 g Salt
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 1pc Watermelon
Instructions
- 1. Soak soya chunks in hot water for 10 minutes, then squeeze out excess water and set aside.
- 2. Wash the rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 15 minutes, then drain.
- 3. Heat oil in a pan and sauté cumin seeds and bay leaf until aromatic.
- 4. Add finely chopped onions, ginger, garlic, and green chilies, and cook until onions are golden brown.
- 5. Stir in chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and mushy.
- 6. Mix in turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt, and cook for another minute.
- 7. Add diced carrots, green peas, and soaked soya chunks, and cook for 5 minutes.
- 8. Add the soaked rice and mix gently to coat it with the spices.
- 9. Pour in water, cover the pan, and let the pulao cook on low heat until the rice is fully cooked and fluffy.
- 10. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
