- 500G Tata Masoor Dal M
- 1Kg Potato
- 500 g Onion
- 250g Green Chilli
- loose Ginger
- 100 g Garlic
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 100 g Dhaniya Powder
- - Red Chilli
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 100 g Salt
- - Rice Flour
Instructions
- 1. Wash and soak the masoor dal for 30 minutes, then boil until tender and drain excess water.
- 2. Peel and boil the potatoes until soft, then mash them in a large mixing bowl.
- 3. Finely chop the onion, green chili, ginger, garlic, and coriander leaves, then add them to the mashed potatoes.
- 4. Combine the boiled masoor dal with the potato mixture, then add cumin, coriander, red chili powder, turmeric, and salt.
- 5. Mix in the rice flour gradually to form a firm dough that holds its shape.
- 6. Divide the dough into equal portions and shape them into small, flat patties or kebabs.
- 7. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
- 8. Shallow fry the kebabs in batches, cooking each side for 3-4 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- 9. Remove the kebabs onto a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
- 10. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with mint chutney or a tangy tamarind dip.
