Ingredients
- 1 pc Broccoli
- 50 g Honey
- loose Ginger
- 100 g Garlic
- 200 ml Sesame Oil
- 250 g Carrot
- 1 bunch Spring Onion
- 50 g White Sesame Seeds
- - Fresh Tofu
- 1 kg Rice
- - Rice Vinegar
- 90 g Dark Soy Sauce
- 100 g Brown & Polson Corn Flour
Instructions
- 1. Drain the tofu and cut into bite-sized cubes, then pat dry with paper towels.
- 2. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, minced garlic, rice vinegar, and water to make the teriyaki sauce.
- 3. Dissolve cornstarch in a small amount of water and mix into the sauce for thickening.
- 4. Heat sesame oil in a skillet and pan-fry the tofu cubes until golden brown on all sides, then set aside.
- 5. Steam the broccoli florets and julienned carrots until crisp-tender, approximately 5 minutes.
- 6. In the same skillet, pour the teriyaki sauce and cook on medium heat until it thickens, stirring occasionally.
- 7. Add the tofu back into the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the sauce.
- 8. Cook white rice according to package instructions and keep warm.
- 9. Assemble the bowl by layering steamed rice, sautéed vegetables, and the glazed tofu.
- 10. Garnish with chopped spring onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds before serving.
