- 80 g Urban Platter Cayenne Pepper Powder
- 250 ml Dabur Hommade Lemon Juice (Bottle)
- 1 pack (1 kg) Naga Whole Wheat Atta
- 5Ltr Vittorio Pomace Olive Oil
- 16 g Orika Oregano
Instructions
- 1. Freeze the tofu for at least 4 hours, then thaw completely. Squeeze out excess water and cut the tofu into 1/4-inch slices.
- 2. In a bowl, mix 6 tablespoons soy sauce, 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, and 1/4 teaspoon oregano. Marinate the tofu slices in this mixture for 20 minutes, ensuring they are well coated.
- 3. Place 1/4 cup whole wheat flour in a shallow dish. Remove the tofu slices from the marinade and coat them evenly in the flour.
- 4. Heat 1/4 cup olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the floured tofu slices and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- 5. In the same skillet, add 1 cup finely chopped onion and 1 cup diced bell pepper. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until softened.
- 6. Add the remaining marinade to the skillet along with 1/2 cup water. Stir well and simmer for 5 minutes to create a gravy.
- 7. Return the tofu steaks to the skillet, spooning the gravy over them. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
- 8. Serve the tofu steaks hot, topped with the herb-infused gravy.
