Ingredients

  • - Rice Flour
  • 500 g Urad Dal
  • 250 g Carrot
  • 1 piece Yellow Bell Pepper
  • 500 g Onion
  • - Tomato Ketchup
  • 250g Green Chilli
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 100 g Salt
  • 200 ml Mustard Oil
  • 1pc Watermelon

Instructions

  1. 1. Soak the urad dal in water for 4-5 hours, then grind into a smooth paste.
  2. 2. Mix rice flour with the urad dal paste, adding water to achieve a thick batter consistency.
  3. 3. Boil soy chunks in water for 5 minutes, drain, and finely chop them.
  4. 4. Finely dice carrot, capsicum, onion, tomato, and green chili, and chop coriander leaves.
  5. 5. Add the chopped vegetables, soy chunks, cumin seeds, and salt to the batter, mixing well.
  6. 6. Heat a non-stick pan and drizzle oil evenly across the surface.
  7. 7. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan, spreading it gently to form a thick circle.
  8. 8. Cook on medium heat until the bottom is golden brown, then flip and cook the other side.
  9. 9. Repeat the process with the remaining batter, ensuring even cooking for each uttapam.
