Ingredients
- - Rice Flour
- 500 g Urad Dal
- 250 g Carrot
- 1 piece Yellow Bell Pepper
- 500 g Onion
- - Tomato Ketchup
- 250g Green Chilli
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 100 g Jeera
- 100 g Salt
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 1pc Watermelon
Instructions
- 1. Soak the urad dal in water for 4-5 hours, then grind into a smooth paste.
- 2. Mix rice flour with the urad dal paste, adding water to achieve a thick batter consistency.
- 3. Boil soy chunks in water for 5 minutes, drain, and finely chop them.
- 4. Finely dice carrot, capsicum, onion, tomato, and green chili, and chop coriander leaves.
- 5. Add the chopped vegetables, soy chunks, cumin seeds, and salt to the batter, mixing well.
- 6. Heat a non-stick pan and drizzle oil evenly across the surface.
- 7. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan, spreading it gently to form a thick circle.
- 8. Cook on medium heat until the bottom is golden brown, then flip and cook the other side.
- 9. Repeat the process with the remaining batter, ensuring even cooking for each uttapam.
- 10. Serve hot with your favorite chutney or a side of sambar for added flavor.
