Ingredients

  • 500 ml Bertolli Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 100 g Sambar Onion Peeled
  • 200 g Lady Finger Diced (Bhendi Cut)
  • 400 g Pastazara Peeled Tomatoes In Tomato Juice
  • 100 g Catch Sprinklers - Iodized Table Salt
  • 1 pack (100 g) Tata Sampann Pure Black Pepper Powder
  • 1 kg Satyam Sugar
  • 1 pc (500 ml) Baidyanath Apple Cider Vinegar With Mother - Red Himalayan Apples - Raw, Unfiltered & Unpasteurised

Instructions

  1. 1. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a microwave-safe dish for 30 seconds on High.
  2. 2. Add 1 finely chopped onion and microwave uncovered for 2 minutes on High until softened.
  3. 3. Stir in 2 cups of sliced okra, 2 cups of diced tomatoes, 3/4 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar.
  4. 4. Cover the dish tightly and microwave on High for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the okra is tender and the flavors are well combined.
  5. 5. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed. Serve hot over cooked rice for a complete meal.
