Ingredients
- - Rice Flour
- 250g Green Chilli
- loose Ginger
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 100 g Salt
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 50 g Cumin Powder
- 100 g Yellow Mustard Seeds
- 100 g Curry Leaves
- 100 g Tamarind Paste
- 500 g Jaggery
- 1pc Watermelon
Instructions
- 1. Soak the split green moong dal in water for 4 hours or overnight.
- 2. Drain the dal and blend it with green chilies, ginger, and water to make a smooth batter.
- 3. Add rice flour, salt, turmeric powder, and cumin powder to the batter and mix well.
- 4. Heat a non-stick pan and drizzle some oil over it.
- 5. Pour a ladle of batter onto the pan and spread it into a thin pancake.
- 6. Cook the pancake until golden brown on both sides, then repeat with the remaining batter.
- 7. For the chutney, heat a small pan and add mustard seeds and curry leaves in oil.
- 8. Mix tamarind paste, jaggery, and water, then add it to the pan with the spices.
- 9. Simmer the chutney for 5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- 10. Serve the pancakes hot with the spiced chutney on the side.
