Ingredients

  • - Rice Flour
  • 250g Green Chilli
  • loose Ginger
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • 100 g Salt
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • 50 g Cumin Powder
  • 100 g Yellow Mustard Seeds
  • 100 g Curry Leaves
  • 100 g Tamarind Paste
  • 500 g Jaggery
  • 1pc Watermelon

Instructions

  1. 1. Soak the split green moong dal in water for 4 hours or overnight.
  2. 2. Drain the dal and blend it with green chilies, ginger, and water to make a smooth batter.
  3. 3. Add rice flour, salt, turmeric powder, and cumin powder to the batter and mix well.
  4. 4. Heat a non-stick pan and drizzle some oil over it.
  5. 5. Pour a ladle of batter onto the pan and spread it into a thin pancake.
  6. 6. Cook the pancake until golden brown on both sides, then repeat with the remaining batter.
  7. 7. For the chutney, heat a small pan and add mustard seeds and curry leaves in oil.
  8. 8. Mix tamarind paste, jaggery, and water, then add it to the pan with the spices.
  9. 9. Simmer the chutney for 5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  10. 10. Serve the pancakes hot with the spiced chutney on the side.
