- 1 kg Yellow Moong Dal
- - Rice Flour
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 100 g Jeera
- 250g Green Chilli
- - Coriander Powder
- 100 g Garlic
- loose Ginger
- 500 g Onion
- 100 g Salt
- 1pc Watermelon
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the yellow moong dal thoroughly and soak it in water for 2 hours.
- 2. Blend the soaked dal with rice flour, turmeric powder, and water to form a smooth batter.
- 3. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and add cumin seeds; let them crackle.
- 4. Add finely chopped onion, garlic, ginger, and green chilies; sauté until golden brown.
- 5. Add the lamb mince to the pan, breaking it up as it cooks; season with salt and stir well.
- 6. Cook the lamb on medium heat until fully browned and aromatic, then mix in chopped coriander leaves.
- 7. Heat a non-stick pan with 1 tbsp oil and pour a ladle of lentil batter to form a pancake.
- 8. Cook the pancake until golden on both sides, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
- 9. Repeat with the remaining batter, adding oil as needed to prevent sticking.
- 10. Serve the lentil pancakes warm, topped generously with the spiced lamb mince mixture.
